I think its much more fun to do Spearfishing without Scuba; Much more Challenging :)

So, anybody have a plan for "this kind" of trip ?

Hello HantuLaut,

I'm using a very simple and standard version "weapon-of-choice", which is :

A JBL MiniMagnum gun with 2 amber sling and a TriCut spear tip w/o Reel.
A CressiSub fullfoot Rubber Pro fins
An Aqualung mask
An Aqualung Nasa fullfoot fins
A "unknown-brand" J snorkel w/o purge.

Does anybody know a location in Bali where we can hunt fish w/o have to rent a boat to get to the location ?

No way my friend, you definitely have to use a boat to hunt, and it is must be away from other divers.
The place you can hunt are ; Ceningan Wall, Batu Aba, Gili Topekong, and some other is remote area.
Make sure that is no diver around the area. ,..hehehe

Come down to Sanur at my place..., I will introduce you to the hunter expert here.. and will ready to share with you..!!

Hello all,

Its been awhile...kind of quiet eh around this topic/post eh...

Anyway, I heard a "rumors" that you can not catch or spear any fish near KarangAsem/Amed sea/water. If you get caught by local people you have to pay a large amount of money to them to "symbolize" that you have "purchased" their fish. If you didn't pay you will be judge by their local law (hukum adat).

Is this true ?

Thanks for the insights.

Best regards,

SeaSnake aka. ularlaut
